Zog: A Forest Adventure
Get ready for some roar-some family fun!
Zog: A Forest Adventure is a free app that takes children and families on a fun-packed quest through some of the most beautiful forests in the UK, putting smiles on little dragons’ faces as they fly, roar and dance their way along the trail.
Created with Magic Light Pictures for Forestry England, the app is designed to accompany families as they follow the new Zog activity trails, bringing Zog and his dragon school friends to life through magical AR.
Meet Zog!
The Arcade 3D team worked with models directly from Magic Light Pictures’ fantastic Zog films, and developed a large suite of custom animations that rightly had to meet the incredibly high standards set by MLP in their films.
The result is a lifelike cast of dragons, each greeting the young woodland visitors and setting a series of fun challenges including Learn to Fly, Learn to Roar, Dragon Face, Calm & Still, Zig Zag Dance and more. Complete each challenge to win a coveted golden star!
Families can also capture photos and videos of their forest adventure as souvenirs or to share with friends.

Arcade had a creative, thoughtful and innovative approach to the project. They took all our stakeholders on the journey with them, resolved bugs efficiently, and were super fun to work with - which always helps!
Several of us at Arcade have young children and know first-hand just how much Zog means to them. Giving families even more reasons to get out into forests across the country has been one of the most exciting and rewarding projects we have worked on. We can’t wait to see all the little dragons earning their golden stars just like Zog!
